KAYLA CZAGA

When Kayla was gearing up to launch her latest poetry collection titled “Midway,” she enlisted my help to revamp her website. My objective in redesigning Kayla’s website was to create a comprehensive experience centered around her work. The previous site was fairly sparse, featuring just a few poems and a contact page. I believed the new design should not only highlight Kayla’s literary achievements but also captivate and engage visitors, encouraging them to explore her works and learn more about her. I developed dedicated pages for each of her books to properly celebrate their individual successes, as well as included sections for works where Kayla has been featured. Additionally, I set up a new contact and events page, to encourage her readers to engage with her.

Working on this project not only allowed me to enhance my technical skills in website design but also significantly improved my abilities in client relations and project management. By collaborating closely with Kayla, I learned to better understand and fulfill a client’s specific vision and requirements. Managing various aspects of the project, from initial design concepts to final implementation, helped me develop a more structured approach to project workflow. It was an excellent opportunity to refine my communication skills, ensuring that ideas were conveyed effectively and feedback was incorporated seamlessly. This experience has been instrumental in preparing me for future projects where efficient client communication and robust project management will be crucial.
